Estimates, approval and signing

  1. Open the RO and add lines under Parts and labor, or tap Add canned job.
  2. Parts are only priced when the vehicle has a VIN or tag, so the price is for that exact car.
  3. Check the totals, then press Send estimate. The customer gets a link by text and email.
  4. On the link the customer reviews the estimate, signs with a finger or mouse and taps Approve, or taps Deny. The signature is stored on the RO and prints on the invoice.
  5. Parts can't be ordered until there's a signature or a verbal approval on file.
  6. If the customer approves by phone, record a verbal approval with a note.

Estimate ready (blue button) sends the estimate if it hasn't gone yet, then has Mark call the customer once to tell them it's waiting. Mark never approves a job himself; a phone "yes" shows as a pending approval for staff to confirm.

Work the customer puts off can be saved as deferred work so you can follow up later.
